Food for thought is not a grand enough expression to encompass the argument(s) you put forward here Matt. This is the deepest exploration of our current society and the roots of our pervasive mindsets that I've read, probably since my college years. A serious and unexpected look at how we've arrived at where we are. It's going to take me awhile to really digest all this and will certainly require a rereading. The most serious and challenging piece of writing of yours that I have read. I am a bit in awe of it. Bravo

Fred- Thank you so much for your kind words. I tried to dig a little deeper on this one, and still I know I've only dug the shallowest hole. In any case, history is unbelievable deep -- those human stories of the past -- especially when accounting for how whatever events took place affect the here and now.

I've been deeply enjoying going head first into such matters lately, especially, right now, the medieval period in France, which intend to follow up until the present day. Surely, there is a lot there in terms of a country that was an essential theocracy switching abruptly to a new order with the Reign of Terror and the French Revolution.

My favorite takeaway? If the choices of the past have such a bearing on today, than each and every action we take today will have a bearing on the future. No pressure, right? ;)

Thanks for stopping by. Hope all is well with you and yours. MZ

Things are good. Just got back from visiting Jessica and Christopher in Reno. I really enjoy and appreciate all your creative endeavors. I love the interviews but I'm glad to see you returning on occasion to the solitary task of writing. Hope all is well with you too and your new bride of course. You don't need me to tell you this but, Keep creating.
